Registered Delegate Information

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2015 NDIS New World Conference in Brisbane.

In preparation for your attendance at the conference, we would like to provide you with some helpful information that will be of assistance to you for your arrival at the conference, and during the conference.

Pre conference registration 26 October 2015

For those delegates who will be arriving the day before the conference opens, a pre registration will be available in the main foyer of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre between 2pm and 5pm on Monday 26 October, 2015. Whilst, there are no formalities on this day, this is an opportunity to register early and avoid the morning rush.

During the conference 27 – 29 October, registration opens daily from 8.00am – 4.00pm, closing 2.30pm on Thursday 29 October, 2015.

1. What to Bring

To make registering on site a more streamlined process; please bring with you ID or your confirmation letter.

2. Picking up your registration

When you arrive at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre please make your way to;

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
Cnr Merivale & Glenelg Streets
South Brisbane

Please line up under the appropriate letter of your Surname/Family Name.

Please have ready your passport/ID/or confirmation letter for ease of identifying your name.

At the registration desk, the friendly staff will provide you with the following;

  • Name Badge – for security purposes please wear at all times
  • Conference Satchel including program book
  • You may be asked to make any outstanding balance of registration payments, or we may ask you which accommodation venue you are staying at, this is purely for our records in case we need to contact you outside the conference program.

During the conference 27 – 29 October, registration opens daily from 8.00am – 4.00pm, closing 2.30pm on Thursday 29 October, 2015.

3. Where to next?

After picking up your registration you may proceed to one of the three catering stations for day one.

Catering Breaks
Tuesday 27 October 2015

From 8.00am Arrival tea and coffee and refreshments will be provided at three catering stations:

  • Great Hall concourse foyer outside door (1) best access from registration to flat floor seating. Between registration and exhibition hall 1.
  • Great Hall concourse foyer outside door (4) best access from registration to flat floor seating. Nearest to public facilities and coffee shop.
  • Mezzanine concourse foyer outside door (7) access to the mezzanine level of the plenary sessions via doors 6 & 8. Door 8 best entrance point for speakers from speaker prep in M10.

Your registration process is now complete.

Speakers Preparation

Speakers can load their presentation in the speakers prep room located in M10 on the Mezzanine floor (yellow level) of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Merivale Street.

  • Monday 26 October 2.00pm – 5.00pm
  • Tuesday 27 October 8.00am – 4.00pm
  • Wednesday 27 October 8.00am – 4.00pm
  • Thursday 29 October 8.00am – 12.noon

Dietary requirements

For those who have indicated a dietary requirement at the time of registration, your nametag has been coded accordingly. Your catering will be available at a designated table in the ndis New World exhibition hall 1; if unsure, speak to a member of the catering staff.

Dress Code

The dress code is smart casual throughout the Conference that will see you through to the conference dinner. On average, Brisbane will experience temperatures of 25ºc - 30 ºc. We suggest that you pack light layers, as the venue air conditioning can be cool for some.

Checking into your accommodation

If you have booked your accommodation in Brisbane through the conference secretariat, the accommodation has been booked under your First and Last/family name.

You can bring your ndis 2015 confirmation letter with accommodation details, for ease of checking in.

Most hotels in Brisbane will require a credit card to be provided upon check in, to hold on the room as a guarantee for incidentals such as minibar, breakfast, parking etc. The card will only be charged for these incidentals upon your approval at check out. If you are unable to provide a credit card, the hotel may require a cash deposit.

If you do not check into your accommodation or cancel, the hotel has the right to charge the credit card on file, for the entire stay as a 100% cancellation policy.

Car Parking

The BCEC undercover car park can be accessed from Merivale or Grey Street and is a maximum of AUD$26 per day. The car park is open 24 hours a day with onsite security with additional disability parking available for conference. Car spaces have been reserved in Carpark 1 for the use of the conference. Access via Merivale Street.
